Fire:

Sometimes we meet someone and sparks ignite to a blaze. passion builds, feelings burst like a match that just hit the box. fire is raging, fire is hot, fire is brilliant. while lost in ecstasy we forget that above all things; fire is not everlasting, fire is destructive to growth.

Water:

Sometimes we meet someone who makes us feel as if we’ve just arrived home. water is cool and calm, mighty and true, no matter what happens the tide continues. there are moments of strong waves, but they always subside to peace. above all things; water is steadfast, water is essential to growth.

…and in the end, water will douse any flame.

Guys always think that they can come back into a woman’s life like it’s no big deal.

We stopped seeing each other for a reason, and unfortunately that memory is more vivid than any good one. it’s hurtful, but it is what it is. working through feelings you had for someone is hard enough, trying to re-develop them is even harder. second chances can be a blessing or completely unnecessary. distance is good, emotionally and physically. nothing is wrong with moving on.
